off to warmer shores!

I fly to Cochin in southern India on Sunday with Toni. It's going to be pretty fun as we always talked about doing this as teenagers - pretending we were Edwina and Patsy off Ab Fab in Morocco. We might do Morocco too, one day when we are rich and famous.

I've been trying to find web references for Sari Yarn - I'm keen to find some nice stuff for a scarf or bag. Last time I went to India I bought a lot of fabric, cushions and rugs - but the colours all faded quickly. Apparently they use vegetable dyes which have little preserving abilities. So other than piles of silver (such fun bartering over toe-ring weights but my skills will have diminished and I'll probably pay a fortune!!) I thought Sari yarn would make a cool souvenir The wool peddler has the most descriptive site and have given me a few options. Now I just have to find a store during my whirlwind trip!!!

OK I signed up and am standing at the back of queue, passing from one foot to the other...11,016 people ahead of me, 79% of the list have been invited and total of 57,100 have added their names to the list of wannabes.

sigh...another password, another login to remember - can't wait for thumbprint ID or something equally mad for the web!!

I'm off to India in 10 days and have finished all my xmas knitting. Yah - it was exhausting and far too rushed, next time I want to have more time to knit something abit more special for each person other than 6 scarves and 2 hats!!

mmm...do you think people know I love knitting enough to get me wool vouchers for xmas?
